Mechanic

Job responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair of diesel and gasoline engines

- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles ranging from mini vans to forty foot buses

- Maintain and repair steering and suspension systems, transmissions, differentials, brakes, wheelchair lifts, electrical systems, air conditioning

-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Two years of automotive/diesel repair experience or graduated from an automotive technology course at an accredited trade school/college.

- State and/or ASE certification or must be able to obtain certifications after hired

- Applicants must have a valid Michigan Driver's License and be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) B with “P” and air-brake endorsements, within three months after date of hire. Paid CDL training

-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

- Applicants must meet the standards of a physical examination and drug test to comply with the rules and regulations of the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration.

Bus Operator

Job responsibilities will primarily entail providing public transportation to individuals by safely operating a bus or van to transport individuals in need throughout Huron County. Paid CDL training provided.

Full-time positions available. Drivers can expect to make $35k-$55k per year. Excellent benefit package available for full-time employment including: paid time off, health, optical, dental, and life insurance. $500 Flexible Spending Accounts, retirement contributions, and eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Applicants must possess a valid Michigan Drivers License and must obtain a Michigan Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a minimum of “B” and “P” endorsements, within six (6) weeks after date of hire. Paid training provided.
